The Studio-Transmitter-Link (STL)
was a RCA 6ghz vacuum tube microwave. There was no line of sight between
the campus studios and Paradise Ridge so audio and video cables were run
in the steam tunnel over to the old French House. The dish was put on the
roof and the electronics in the attic space below. You can see the transmitter
site dish on the side of the tower. |
