Above is the record library. New artist wanted to reach the college audience so there were plenty of new free records delivered each week. The Associated Press provided a wire service feed at no charge. The news was a live "rip and read" affair. In those days the AP teletype was so noisy it had to be put in a sound deadening cabinet in a closet with the door closed. |
